VIVA Virtual Solutions was founded in 2020 by Rob Lopez, Jason Diaz, and Andres Baires with a simple conviction: independent insurance agencies deserve more than another set of hands. They deserve a department built to last.

Rob grew up an Allstate kid, but his career started in broadcast journalism and sports radio, including time as a Broadcast Coordinator for the Houston Rockets. Insurance pulled him back, and in 2004 he opened his own Allstate agency. At first he saw it the way most new agents do: a sales job, where more sales meant more money. That changed the day he saw his first life insurance claim paid. He realized the work was really about protecting people's lives and legacies, and that he could build a legacy of his own by helping as many people as possible. A year later, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma made landfall within two months of each other, a crash course in what an agency means to its clients when it matters most.

In early 2020, Rob was launching his own brokerage, Insfinity, when the pandemic hit. With enhanced unemployment benefits keeping many workers home, local hiring stalled almost overnight, and he couldn't afford to grow slowly. So he began outsourcing phone calls, prospecting, and quoting. He had outsourced to the Philippines before and didn't like what he saw: staff forced onto graveyard shifts to match U.S. hours, and turnover to match. So he made a different call: hire people who live and work on Central Time, the same hours his Texas agency kept. That search led to Mexico, then Guatemala, and then to Jason Diaz, who told him about El Salvador. VIVA has grown there ever since. For a time it also ran an operations center in Guatemala City to keep up with demand, and VIVA still has team members in Guatemala today.

What began as the answer to one agency's growth problem is now a U.S.-based operation headquartered in Tomball, Texas, with 408 team members serving 231 agencies across the U.S. and Canada, and a 94% client retention rate.
